Summer Holiday Closure Planning Checklist
The holidays are less than two weeks away, and if you haven’t already done so, we recommend reviewing the Summer Holiday Closure Planning Checklist to ensure everything is completed before you turn the lights off on 24 December.
Immunisations due in the holidays
Christmas is a busy time, particularly for parents and caregivers of babies and young children, and as a result there is a risk that missed immunisations may lead to further immunisation delays. This is especially important at this time, with additional measles cases being reported around the country. We recommend that your team review the timeline for immunisations due for babies and children over the holiday period and inform parents/caregivers that if they are away from home, they can take their baby or child to any general practice for their scheduled immunisations at no cost. The Aotearoa Immunisation Register (AIR) will record and display up-to-date information about each child’s immunisation status.

Auckland PHO Statement of Funding and Services
There has been considerable attention recently on the form and function of PHOs, particularly regarding funding transparency and accountability. At Auckland PHO, our philosophy is that every practice should have access to a broad range of funded programmes, clinical support, practice management assistance, and business advice. We recognise that each practice is unique in how it delivers Primary Care to its patients, and we work collaboratively to determine the appropriate frequency of check-ins and the level of support required. Please find attached the Auckland PHO Statement of Funding and Services, which outlines the support we provide to our Primary Care network.
