Auckland PHO funds and co-ordinates services, provides resources and expertise for practices and delivers relevant specialised primary healthcare services. First level primary healthcare is provided by 28 General Practices with 123 GPs, 15 Nurse Practitioners and 101 Practice Nurses who service over 86,000 enrolled patients throughout central Auckland in Auckland City, Avondale, Mt Roskill, Mt Albert, Glen Innes, Grey Lynn, Te Atatū, Great Barrier Island and Waiheke Island.
