Dummy Practice Audits
| Each year the Te Whatu Ora Audit and Compliance Team choose a number of practices to their audit enrolment processes to ensure that a percentage of enrolment forms are compliant with the enrolment requirements within the PHO Services Agreement.
Practices can be required to pay back capitation if the audit team identify ‘breaches’, such as lack of patient signature, in-eligible patients, or an incomplete form.
In order to be prepared, and to avoid unnecessary costs, Auckland PHO is offering a dummy audit that involves a random selection of enrolment forms with an assessment of missed or incomplete information on the enrolment form.
The process involves an Auckland PHO staff member (Erin) and if available a practice admin person to work together to undertake the dummy audit. The results are reviewed and will provide the practice with a report that outlines the quality of enrolment processes and a ballpark of would be required to pay back, as well as training needed.
If you would like more information about this, contact erin@aucklandpho.co.nz
