Auckland PHO Network Survey:  Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tools in General Practice

AI tools play a growing and powerful role in the delivery of health services, helping both patients and professionals in many ways.

Auckland PHO wishes to gauge our network's understanding and use of AI and AI tools (specifically clinical scribing tools). We will use this information to provide appropriate guidance as these tools grow and develop.

Below is a link to a short (~ 3 minutes), anonymised survey intended for clinicians, which will provide us with this baseline information.

We greatly appreciate your time taken to complete this survey.

New Mōhio Reports

Newborn nominations are a vital part of ensuring timely access to healthcare for newborn babies.  As soon as the parent nominates your practice as their baby’s general practice, a newborn notification is sent from AIR to your PMS.  When you receive this notification, it should be accepted or declined immediately with a B-enrolment created within the PMS and NES.

Prompt enrolment supports on-time immunisations and well child checks.  This new report will assist you to monitor newborn enrolment notifications and track due dates for 6-week immunisations.

Read more about the Mōhio Newborn Baby Nominations and 6-week Immunisations Report here.

The Antenatal Register Report has been upgraded to accommodate a change in laboratory codes associated with the e-orders system.  The report identifies people who have presented in the last 6 months for “Antenatal 1st  Visit” blood screening, along with their immunisation history for Flu Vaccine, latest Boostrix, COVID Vaccine, Smoking Status and Smoking Cessation Referral.

It is important to check this report regularly for accuracy, to exclude people who have aborted/terminated their pregnancy as the system is unable to qualify the patient list against maternity claims, midwifery, or hospital maternity bookings.
