Immunisation Week
| It's World Immunisation Week from Friday 24 to Thursday 30 April 2026 and the theme is 'For every generation, vaccines work'. This is an opportunity to highlight the power of immunisation and the critical role it plays in protecting people of all ages from vaccine-preventable diseases. The theme recognises how vaccines have safely protected whānau and communities for generations – and how they continue to safeguard our future. Welcome to Joanna Keane – Auckland PHO’s Primary Care Business Support Advisor | We are delighted to welcome Joanna Keane to the Auckland PHO team as our new Business Support Advisor. Joanna brings over 16 years’ experience as a senior Practice Manager, with a strong understanding of the operational, financial, and workforce challenges facing general practice. In this role, she will focus on strengthening capability, performance, and financial sustainability across our network. Her work will include providing hands-on support to practices, offering business improvement guidance, and supporting the onboarding of new clinical practice staff. Joanna can be contacted at Joanna@aucklandpho.co.nz and once she has completed her onboarding, we will be introducing her more formally across the practice network. |
