Welcome back to another year – it’s that time of year again – the end of the summer holidays and the start of the new work year.

Here a couple of items of interest for Practice teams.

Workforce Survey

GPNZ have established a workforce working group and with several PHO CEOs who have put together a short survey that will help inform our advocacy and priorities in relation to workforce capacity and pay, particularly nurses’ pay.

We’d be very grateful if you could check out and complete the survey in this link ­https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/8DKS2J6 and by 10 February. The results will be collated and shared both with GP teams and relevant decision makers (Te Whatu Ora, Te Aka Whai Ora, Manatū Hauora, Ministers, General Practice Leaders Forum) by the end of February.

Information GPNZ gathered in relation to practice infrastructure investment last year was instrumental in ensuring the allocation of dedicated practice funding, and we hope that these workforce insights will be equally valuable in influencing short term decision-making.
