New Zealanders can now access, in one place, health information specific to their district health board (DHB) region. This includes rest home audits, health funding and health target results.
My DHB also includes information and contact details for general practices, dentists, midwives and other professionals in each region.
Most of this information has previously been available however it has been on a number of different websites and hasn’t always been that easy to find.
“This new web tool pulls all the information together in one place so it is much easier for the public to find to enable them to make more informed choices about their healthcare.”

Auckland PHO funds and co-ordinates services, provides resources and expertise for practices and delivers some specialised primary healthcare services. First level primary healthcare is provided by 22 General Practices with 70 GPs and 41 Practice Nurses who service just over 54,000 enrolled patients throughout central Auckland in Auckland City, Avondale, Blockhouse Bay, Mt Roskill, Mt Albert, Morningside, Meadowbank, Grey Lynn, Orakei and Waiheke Island.
While many of our services are directed towards individuals and illness, we are also focused on issues which impact on the wellness of specific groups and communities within our enrolled population of whom 7% are Maori, 11% Pacific and 18% are Quintile 5 (NZ dep 9 and 10)
The PHO has responsibility for ensuring that current challenges in community healthcare are being met. These challenges include child and adolescent health, immunisation, mental health and long term conditions such as diabetes and cardiovascular/heart disease.
