Auckland PHO funds and co-ordinates services, provides resources and expertise for practices and delivers relevant specialised primary healthcare services. First level primary healthcare is provided by 24 General Practices with 102 GPs, 10 Nurse Practitioners and 60 Practice Nurses who service over 63,000 enrolled patients throughout central Auckland in Auckland City, Avondale, Mt Roskill, Mt Albert, Glen Innes, Grey Lynn, Great Barrier Island and Waiheke Island.
