It was heartening to hear that our practice sites survived the recent storm with little water damage reported. We are aware however, that several people in our network experienced flooding in their homes and properties. We hope that the clean-up has been easy and that the insurance process is going well.
Primary Care Funding Changes for COVID Care in the Community
The Medinz and Friday Facts published on Friday 3rd February outlined the changes to the national funding framework for COVID-19 management in Primary Care. A webinar is planned for tomorrow (Wednesday 8th February) from 7pm – 7.45pm.

Patient expectations of a ‘free’ service when they present with COVID-19 like symptoms may need to be managed and a script for your websites or a notice will be provided in next week’s Panui.
COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test kits available from Auckland PHO
We have a surplus of COVID-19 Rapid Antigen kits we would like to send to practices that can be provided for patients and Practice use. As always, please check the expiry date prior to use or giving to patients.
To save resources, where possible, please avoid ordering online and email komal@aucklandpho.co.nz or phone the Auckland PHO office 379 4022 to arrange delivery of the kits.
